HQ move of IT and telephony services for one of the world’s foremost insurance organisations.

Challenge

The lease on an existing property had a fixed expiration date by which time it needed to be vacated with all IT and telephony services needing to be moved to a new building over the period of a weekend.

Approach

Stratiformis developed a highly detailed move and risk mitigation plan, which was executed over the period of a weekend and engaged the support of a number of business stakeholders, as well as 3^rd party suppliers to share responsibility for a successful outcome.

Outcome

All services were migrated and the opportunity was used to address a number of long term technical issues. A senior business stakeholder was quoted as saying “the move was the best experience he had ever had with their IT department”.
