Lean Business Process Review for Service Company
Summary
Design and delivery of a Lean Business Process optimisation project to define and optimise the operating model of a key processing function.
Challenge
Some issues in inter-departmental hand-offs and a lack of transparency of performance drove the requirement to perform an end-to-end Lean business process review and Operational improvement project for the Service Company operations of a London Market Insurer.
Approach
Stratiformis designed a short Lean operational review for delivery alongside client team members, including internal and cross departmental business processes, performance measures and skills profiling, with a view to the transfer of Lean skills as a basis for future reviews.
Outcome
The resulting clarity acted as a basis for the operational unit to reform its relationship with internal customers, demonstrate its level of productivity and more easily substantiate the case for investment in the automation of low value manual processes.
